Peggy Francine (Morgan) Parsley passed away on September 12, 2026, at the age of 93, surrounded by her loving family.
For 30 years, Peggy devoted herself to being a homemaker and, most importantly, a mom. She poured her heart into raising her family and creating a home filled with love, comfort, traditions, and countless memories.
As her family grew, Peggy took on another name that became especially dear—Memaw. She treasured being a grandmother to Brittany, Ayla, and Fred, and she was blessed to see her family grow another generation with her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Bristol, and Tinley, and another generation with her great-great-grandchildren, Ivy and Axel. Being their Memaw brought her tremendous joy, and the love, memories, traditions, and lessons she shared with them will remain a special part of their lives.
After dedicating many years to her home and family, Peggy began another chapter at Tinker Air Force Base, where she worked as a federal employee for 20 years. She brought the same dedication and strong work ethic to her career that she had always given to her family.
Peggy had an extraordinary creative spirit and was truly gifted with her hands. She was an amazing cake decorator, creating beautiful cakes that made birthdays, weddings, holidays, and other celebrations even more special. She was also a talented doll maker and accomplished seamstress. Whether she was sewing something beautiful for someone she loved, creating one of her dolls, or decorating a special cake, Peggy put patience, care, and love into everything she made. Her creativity was a gift she generously shared with her family and others throughout her life. Peggy made every holiday grand making it the best she could. She was also a huge dog lover, always having a canine companion around.
Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Donna Gay Stanley; her parents, John and Mildred Morgan; her three brothers, Gene, Thell, and Charles Wayne; and her former husband of 49 years, Alvin Parsley. Though she experienced the loss of those she loved during her long life, the memories and bonds they shared remained with her.
Her talented hands created beautiful cakes, dolls, and lovingly sewn treasures, but her heart created something far more lasting—a family filled with memories and love. Her legacy lives on through the generations of her family and all those whose lives were touched by her.
Good memories last forever, and Mom and Memaw will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
A graveside service honoring Peggy’s life will be held Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Alma Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Velma Chapel.
