Peggy Louise Russell

Mrs. Peggy Louise Russell, aged 68, of Healdton, Oklahoma, passed away on December 11, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Healdton with J.D. Scifres officiating.

Born on May 1, 1957, in Ringling, Oklahoma, Peggy was the beloved daughter of the late Mr. Jimmy Joseph Russell and Mrs. Betty Joann (Sweetman) Russell. She spent her childhood in Duncan, where she attended school. Peggy married Claude Wright, and together they welcomed their daughter, Miranda.

Throughout her life, Peggy worked as a waitress in several local restaurants; however, her primary vocation was that of a dedicated homemaker. She had a passion for fishing, painting, crocheting, and reading her Bible.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her daughter, Miranda Wright; her sisters, Donna Weers and Susan Russell; nieces Abby Jo Jackson (and husband Michael), Ginger Dover (and husband Ronnie), Amy Endicott (and husband Dale), and Jennifer Jackson (and husband Lloyd), along with numerous other family members and friends.
