Wilson- Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Jean (Boles) Shaw, 70, of Wilson, will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 14, 2026, at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson. Officiated by Rev. Ricky Way, interment will follow at Ringling Memorial Cemetery.

Peggy was born on August 3, 1956, in Ardmore, OK, to the late Gilbert Dale Boles and Mary "Jean" Aubrene (Way) Boles. She passed away on August 11, 2026, at her home in Wilson. Raised in the Wilson area, Peggy attended school first in Zaneis before transferring to Wilson High School, graduating with the class of 1974. On September 29, 1973, she married James "Thorpe" Anthony Shaw in Zaneis. With Thorpe's enlistment in the US Army, they moved to Ft. Sill and later to Germany for two years before returning to Wilson. Peggy worked at the Ringling Pants Factory until its closure and then spent over 20 years as a CMA at the Wilson Nursing Home. Peggy had a passion for reading and audiobooks, enjoyed shopping on Temu, and cherished her grandchildren and grand dog, Ranger. As a young woman, she was baptized at Zaneis Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husband Thorpe, who passed on November 13, 2011.

Survivors include her daughters, Kim McLean (husband Wayne) of Ardmore, and Jessica Harrell (husband John) of Lone Grove; son Jammy Shaw (wife Elizabeth) of Wilson; sister Cheryl Boles of Wilson; five grandchildren, Page Davoult (spouse Derik Wilkerson), Bri Spraggins (husband Scot), Joshua Harrell (spouse Mika Williams), Jacee Harrell, and Chloe Shaw; five great-grandchildren, Brodie, Rayah, Nova, Mia, and Emma; nephews Kyle and Weston; along with numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Jammy Shaw, Kyle Hacker, John Harrell, Wayne McLean, Joshua Harrell, and Dylan Harvey. Honorary bearers include grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and Kyler and Kenzie Hacker.

The family extends special thanks to the Mercy Healdton Nurses and Staff, especially McKotah and Kayce Smith, for their care of Peggy.
