Rebecca "Becky" Ilene DeLisle, a beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on August 15, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on September 8, 1950, in Oklahoma City, OK, to the late Mr. Alfred James McClure and Mrs. Cleota Floyce (Foster) McClure, Becky was a vibrant spirit who touched many lives with her kindness and compassion.
Becky's early years were spent in the warm community of Bethany, where she attended Putnam City High School and proudly graduated with the class of 1968. Her pursuit of knowledge continued at the University of Oklahoma, where she began her studies in nursing in 1972. It was during these formative years that she met her soulmate, Mr. Allen DeLisle, whom she married on August 7, 1970. The couple's love blossomed during their shared passion for square dancing, which became a cherished activity in their life together. Together, Becky and Allen were blessed with four children who brought immense joy to their lives: Yvonne, Robert, Mark, and Janet. Becky's deep commitment to her family was evident in every aspect of her life, and she approached motherhood with the same dedication she displayed in her professional career. After working in pediatric nursing for around three years while attending college, Becky earned her bachelor’s degree as a Registered Nurse. Her career in recovery and surgical nursing spanned an impressive 36 years, culminating in her well-deserved retirement in 2008. Becky's gentle demeanor and unwavering attention to her patients made her a respected figure among her coworkers and a comforting presence to families in their time of need. Outside of her professional life, Becky found joy in music, singing, flowers, and the beauty of nature. She enjoyed hand sewing and painting, allowing her creativity to flourish in her leisure time. A devoted member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Ardmore, her faith was a cornerstone in her life and a guiding force in her interactions with others.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Cleota McClure, and her brother, Lonnie McClure.
She leaves behind a loving family that includes her devoted husband, Allen DeLisle of the home; her children, Yvonne Spitek and husband Martin of King George, VA, Robert DeLisle of Wilburton, OK, Mark DeLisle and wife Cassidy of Moore, OK, and Janet Oisten and husband John of Spencer, OK. Additional family members include her sister, Faye Shaffer and husband John of Crowley, TX; her brother, John D. McClure and wife Raydra of McKinney, TX; grandchildren Michaela, Mary, Jamie, Abbey, Joseph, Mark, Dustin, Callie, Weston, John Charles, and Julie; as well as ten great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends who will miss her dearly.
