Robert Wayne Howard Sr

Robert Wayne Howard Sr. was born October 26, 1969, at Huntington Beach, California, to the late John Everett Howard and Shirley Ann (Mowers) Warrington. He departed this life Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Robert was raised in Huntington Beach, California, until the age of six, when his family relocated to Oklahoma. He spent much of his life in the Loco and Comanche areas before settling in Healdton in the late 1970s. Robert began his career in the oilfield and dedicated many years to this line of work. Known for his vibrant spirit, Robert brought joy and laughter to those around him. He was a playful jokester and a beloved presence among his friends and family. An avid fisherman, he also enjoyed tinkering on motorcycles, lawnmowers, and other mechanical projects. Additionally, Robert expressed himself with writing poetry, sharing his creative side with those close to him. Robert cherished his children, grandchildren, and family deeply. Though he faced profound loss in his life, including the passing of his son, he demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience throughout. Above all, Robert loved life and was often the heart and soul of every gathering. His warm personality and enduring love for those around him will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.

Preceding him in death are his parents, John and Shirley; son, Robert Howard Jr; stepdad, Robert Warrington.

Survivors include his daughter, Chelsey Howard of Healdton, Ok; grandchildren Deylann Pearson, Deytyn Kennett, Delilah Smith, Nevaeh Smith, Michael Smith, Haven Howard, and Benjamin Howard; sister, Sherry Rutledge and husband Gene of Healdton, Ok; nieces and nephews, Stephanie Davis, April Martin, Michael Martin, and Elizabeth Kirkland; mother of his children, Shelly Forson of Ardmore, Ok; numerous great nephews, nieces, other family, and friends.
