Memorial service for Ronnie “Bean” Max Burton, Jr., 35, of Ratliff City, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Monday, June 29, 2026, at the Countyline Baptist Church, at Countyline, OK, with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating.
Ronnie was born March 1, 1991, at Ardmore, to Mr. Ronnie Max Burton, Sr. and Tammie Jo McDevitt. He departed this life Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Healdton, OK.
Bean was raised in Comanche, a place he always called home and where his journey began. In his youth, he attended the local school and quickly became known for his enthusiasm and spirited participation in sports. Whether it was football, baseball, or basketball, Bean contributed his determination and energy as a valued teammate. He graduated proudly with the class of 2010. His career path took him to Wilco Sandblasting and the Dollar General Distribution Center, where he worked as a forklift driver. Later, his tenacity led him to the rigs with Basic Energy. Outside of work, Bean lived life with an infectious passion. Fishing provided hours of quiet reflection, where he enjoyed the peace of the outdoors. His love for sports extended far beyond playing; he remained a devoted fan throughout his life, never missing an opportunity to engage in a game or cheer for his favorite teams. Music was another of Bean's great loves—those fortunate enough to know him witnessed his playful spirit when he would revamp any song, making it uniquely his own. Family was extremely important to Bean. His special bond with his sister, Kylie, and his big brother, Jimmy Lee, brought him immeasurable joy and support.
Preceding him in death are his maternal grandmother, Cathie Jones, and great grandparents, Harry and Betty Jones.
Survivors include his mother, Tammie McDevitt and husband Wayne of Countyline; father, Ronnie Burton, Sr. and wife Rebecca of Ardmore; brother, Jimmy Lee Burton of Countyline; sister, Kylie Burton of Countyline; paternal grandparents, Jim and Peggy Burton of Ratliff City; numerous other family and friends.
