Ronnie Joe Roberts

Wilson – Funeral Services for Mr. Ronnie Joe Roberts, 77, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at ASH Street Church of Christ in Wilson with his son Larry Roberts and Jeff Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Hewitt Cemetery of Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.

Ronnie was born Oct. 15, 1948 at Rexroat to the late Mr. Alvis Hoyt Roberts and Mrs. Lela “Lee” (Gaither) Roberts. He went to his heavenly home on Friday, April 24, 2026 at his residence in Wilson.

Ronnie attended school at Wilson graduating from High school in 1969. He immediately went to work for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation in Ardmore doing Highway maintenance. He and the former Ms. Dortha Elizabeth Beck were united in marriage on July 8, 1971. To this union they were blessed with two sons, Larry Gene and Jason Lee. Ronnie was preceded in death by Dortha on August 31, 2007. He later married the former Ms. Mary Masterson on April 8, 2013. He enjoyed gardening and fellowshipping with everyone at the Ash Street Church of Christ, where he was a faithful member for many years.

In addition to his wife Dortha, also preceding him in death are his parents, Alvis and Lee Roberts; infant sister, Rose Roberts; brothers, J.L. and wife Arlene and Alvis Lee “Deepwater” Roberts and his wife Faye.

Survivors include his beloved wife Mary of the home; sons, Larry Roberts and wife Natalie of Wilson, and grandchildren, Brittany, Larran and Lance; son, Jason Roberts and wife Mandy of Wilson and grandson Cooper; step son, Jim Masterson and wife Sheli and grandchildren, Alyssa and Carli; brother, Jimmy Roberts and wife Betty of Wilson; sister in law, Joyce Dethloff and husband Joe; brothers in law, Riley Beck and wife Barbara and James Beck and wife Toni; great grandchildren, Aidan, Leah and Kiersley;  special aunt, Ollie Overby of Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, church family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Gary Adams, John Burden, Doug Epley, Steve Martin, Bill Harris and Jim Masterson.

Honorary Bearers are J.D. Dunn, David Fulton, Gerald Neil, Kenneth Thacker and Jeff Whatley.

Family visitation will be held from 6 t0 8 pm Monday evening at Alexander ~ Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
