A Celebration of Life for RoseMary (Sitton) Garrett, 79, of Dickson, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson, with her brother, Pastor Rick Sitton, officiating. A reception will follow at the Orr Building Venue, open to all.

RoseMary peacefully passed into the embrace of her Heavenly Father on September 6, 2026. Born on July 27, 1947, in Dallas, Texas, she was the cherished daughter of the late George Ray Sitton and Mary Lynn (Montgomery) Sitton. She married Steve Garrett on May 27, 1987, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and they joyfully shared 39 years together.

A graduate of H. Grady Spruce High School in Pleasant Grove, TX, class of 1965, RoseMary had a successful career in sales, small business ownership, and financial services. Her professional journey included roles at Woolworths in Dallas, Westbend in Anaheim, CA, and Waukeshaw, WI. She co-founded a rental franchise in Nacogdoches, TX, and ran a flower shop in Lindale, TX. She also worked for Chemsearch in Oklahoma, Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, and Houston, and later for Goe Harley-Davidson in Angleton, TX.

RoseMary was renowned for her loving kindness and unwavering goodness. Her work ethic and deep faith were admired by all who knew her. She was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, wife, and friend.

Preceded in death by her parents, son Brad Burnell, brother John Ray Sitton of Tyler, Texas and two sisters; Loray and Betty. 

RoseMary leaves behind her husband, Steve Garrett of Ardmore; son, Shawn David Burnell of Tyler, TX; and brother, Rick (Karen) Sitton of Bella Vista, Arkansas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Devin Helm and Ryan Burnell; sisters-in-law, Deborah Sitton of Tyler, TX, Pam Griggs and husband Tim of Lone Grove, and Brenda Martin and husband Chris of Moore; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.

Inurnment will be at Hopewell Cemetery in Lindale, TX, on October 3, 2026, at 11:00 am.
