HEALDTON — Services for Sandra V. (Burkett) Reid, 75, of Healdton/Ardmore, will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 9th, at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home, 65 Golf Course Rd. Healdton, OK, with her sons Darryl Worsham and Rev. Rodney Worsham officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in Healdton.
Sandra was born October 16, 1948, to Bill and Wanda Burkett. She passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2023, at her home in Ardmore with her family by her side.
Sandra was a lifelong resident of Healdton, graduating from Healdton High School in 1966. She married Danny Worsham in Healdton and together raised their three children, Darryl, Tonya and Rodney. She later married Joe B. Reid in 1988. Sandra and Joe were married for thirty-two years until his death in January 2020.
Through her children, she was blessed with eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Sandra was raised in the Healdton Assembly of God Church where she gave her life to Christ at the age of five. Sandra loved to sing at church and was a lifelong faithful member. If the church doors were open, she and her kids were in attendance. Sandra was an outstanding, loving mother to her children with the highest importance of providing them with an understanding of what it meant to be a follower of Jesus Christ.
Sandra was a worker. She worked at Brady Welding and Machine shop in the front office for over 25 years. Some of Sandra’s favorite hobbies included baking cakes for people while loving them right where they were, watching Wheel of Fortune and Dateline and rooting for her favorite sports teams: the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs. Sandra loved her family fiercely, and she loved hosting family for wonderful holiday gatherings. She had a way of making everyone feel special. Sandra loved the good Lord, her family, friends and the community of Healdton. She showed kindness to strangers, babies and animals.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Reid; parents, Bill and Wanda Burkett; brothers Randy Burkett and Mark Burkett; sister-in-law Denise Burkett; niece Ashley Sanford and great-granddaughter, Raynie Suzanne Paul.
Sandra is survived by her children Darryl Worsham and his wife Rhonda, Austin, TX, Tonya Hendershott and her husband Randy, Ardmore, OK, Rodney Worsham and his wife Kandace, Medicine Lodge, KS, Joey Reid and his wife Marie, Dallas, TX; her sister, Marcia Burkett, Ardmore, OK, and lovingly known as “Memaw”, Sandra’s grandchildren, Liz Shoemake and her husband Will, Hannah Worsham-Ehrle and her husband Jack, Isabella Worsham, Erika Paul, Clayton Paul and his wife Ashley, Cody Paul, Caleb Worsham, and Olivia Worsham, Logan Williams and her husband Cale, Rikki Reid, and Jaden Reid; great-grandchildren include Kylie, Allie, Rylie and Cole Paul, and Jax Williams, Aunt Etoy Palmer of AZ and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her beloved dog and companion, Gracie Boo.
A family and friends visitation will be held on Friday, December 8th, from 6-8 p.m. at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home, 65 Golf Course Rd. Healdton, OK.
Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to Canoe Brook Assisted Living, Ardmore, OK.
