Thomas “Wayne” Dowdy age 89, of Wilson Oklahoma passed away April 10, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Wayne was born on July 25, 1936, to Mr. Thomas Golder Dowdy and Alva Pearlene (Kincheleo) Dowdy. The family will have a memorial inurnment at a later date. Cremation services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home and Crematory in Wilson.
Wayne was raised in Wilson, graduating from Wilson High in 1955. Soon after graduation he joined the Navy. Serving his country proud and having an honorable discharged in 1959. He worked most of his life in the oilfield retiring from Koch industry in 1994. Wayne married the former Margaret Lightfoot; she preceded in death in 2004. He later married Peggy Fielding, in 2005 at Shawnee. Peggy preceded him in death in 2022. His hobbies in life that he enjoyed was fishing, camping and gardening. He loved his church and church family.
Preceding him in death are his parents, his wives, Margaret (Lightfoot) Dowdy, June 6, 2004; Peggy (Feilding) Dowdy July 4, 2022, and brother, Donald Dowdy; brother-in-law Jim Barnes; daughter-in-law Connie Creed.
His survivors are his children Diesta Harris (Jackie), Canton, Texas, Mollie Trent (Tony), Edgewood, Texas, Monty Creede, Tommy Snow (Cindy), Buffalo, Texas, Gary “Hoss” Snow (Cookie), Wilson, Oklahoma, Susan Sanders (Royce), Wilson, Oklahoma, Nancy Stewart (Albert), Lone Grove, Oklahoma, Jake Fielding, Billings, Montana, Rusty Fielding (Kristen) Lone Grove, Oklahoma, sister Pearlene Barnes, Wilson, Oklahoma and sister-in-law Kitty Dowdy, Charleston, South Carolina. Along with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends.
The family appreciates Mays Home Health and Hospice for their kind felt care and support. They would like in lieu of cards and flowers, for donations to be made to Mays Home Health and Hospice.
