Timothy Benjamin Scot Gothard

Memorial services for Timothy Benjamin Scot Gothard, 55, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Wilson with Kris Steele officiating.

Tim grew up in Lone Grove and graduated with the class of 1989. He pursued art education in Florida for two years before returning to his hometown. Tim was blessed with a son, Seth Daniel, in 2001 and then He met Kristy Lee Benta in 2005, and they married on February 15, 2008, in Gainesville, TX, eventually settling in Lone Grove.

Tim had a passion for fishing and hunting, especially with his father, Benny. He was musically talented and excelled in artwork and woodcarving. He loved riding his motorcycle, was a skilled cook, and was known for his hard work and dedication to helping his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Kristy Gothard; son, Seth Daniel Gothard and wife Kira of Marietta; stepchildren, Zach Armstrong and wife Chelsea of Wilson, Clayton Armstrong and wife Taylor of Healdton, and Harley Armstrong of Ringling; parents, Benny and Gloria Gothard of Lone Grove; sister, Toni Gothard, and her children, Draven Parrott and wife Ara, Nathan Parrott, and Tevis Parrott. His grandchildren, Max, Shiloh, Laylan, Christian, Everett, Mason and another on the way, will remember him fondly, along with numerous family members and friends.
