Wendy Gail (Race) Roark

Wendy Gail (Race) Roark, born on January 14, 1964, in Connecticut to Mr. John Race and Mrs. Arlene (McQueen) Clemons, peacefully departed this life on January 12, 2026, in Oklahoma City, at the age of 61.

Wendy was a spirited child who quickly established herself as an exceptionally intelligent and vibrant presence in her family. Her childhood memories are cherished by all who knew her, reflecting a life filled with love and laughter. She was a long-time resident of Wilson and her warmth and kindness will be profoundly missed by her family. 

Survivors include her devoted mother, Arlene, her brothers John Race, Joe Race, Greg Race, and Ronald Race, as well as her sisters Sandy Stober, Bobby Jo Nickerson, and Kathy Dobson. Wendy is also survived by her beloved daughter, Nicky, along with three cherished grandchildren, Salena, Elen, and Thomas.  Additionally, she leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who adored her. Wendy's spirit and compassion touched the lives of many, and her memory will remain etched in the hearts of her family and friends.
