Ringling -Home Going services for Mr. Wilburn Odell Carroll, 57, of Ringling are scheduled for 3:00 PM Wed. August 9, 2023, at the Community Fellowship of Ringling with Bro. Joe Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ringling.
Odell was born Nov. 16, 1965, at Oklahoma City to the late Wilburn Odell Carroll, Sr. and Patsy D. Huggins. He went to his heavenly home on Sunday morning, August 6, 2023, while residing at Ringling.
Odell was raised in Ringling attending school there as a member of the class of 1984. Primarily most of his working years were doing yard maintenance for many residents and businesses throughout the Ringling community and working cattle for many ranchers. He was a "#1 Blue Devil" fan and a proud Trump Supporter without any denial. Odell was well known by everyone and volunteered for the Ringling Fire Dept. for many years, testing the siren every Friday at noon.
Odell loved WWE wrestling, just recently watching the Summer Slam. He also loved to watch the television series, Swamp People. His favorite thing to do was to aggravate anyone he could. Two weeks before his passing, Odell rededicated his life to Jesus and was baptized at his home. He spent many years attending church at the Community Fellowship and also enjoyed attending the Church on The Rock.
Preceding him in death were his parents; infant twin sister; adopted mother, Linda Copeland; Uncles, Tony Huggins and Troy Huggins and a very close cousin, Pam Ferguson.
Survivors include his girlfriend, Lori Whittaker of the home; adopted sisters, Cindy Stewart and husband Patrick of Ringling, Christy Cox and husband Roy of Courtney and Tammy Lewis and husband Bart of Reck; aunt and uncles, JoAnn Huggins of Ringling, John Maudie Huggins and Harry Dean Huggins both of Davis; other very special family, Buster Copenberger, Jennifer Roberts, Mike Huggins, Kacie Barron, Kylie Gandy and Jack Ferguson; canine companion, Cowgirl and numerous other family and close friends throughout the community.
Pallbearers will be Baler Stewart, Terry "Scooter" Morris, Jr., Eric Ramon, Tracey Rapier, Caleb Stewart and Ian Cox.
Honorary bearers are the members of the Ringling High School Class of 1984.
Family visitation will be from 6 to 7pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home in Ringling.
